Research

I have a strong interest in sustainable ceramic research and practices, acknowledging the effects of mining for raw materials on the environment and the dangers of incorrect disposal of harmful materials used in ceramic production, aiming to minimise the impact of this wherever possible.

At the Natural History Museum’s Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity, I carried out a research project photographing British insects and invertebrates. These featured as photographic decals on ceramic pieces and in an information booklet produced for my graduate project Our Vanishing Food Chain, highlighting the importance and rapid decline of British wildflowers, insects and invertebrates.
